LEARNING LEADERS CIRCLE

Major Donor Program

The Carole Robertson Center’s Learning Leaders Circle is a community of early childhood and youth development advocates dedicated to the Center’s mission to educate, enrich, and empower children and families in Chicago.

Learning Leaders:

  • Support access to high quality early childhood and youth development programming with a gift of a $1000 or more to the Center’s Learning Fund
  • Are pillars of the Carole Robertson Center community, making a deep investment in the Center’s mission
  • Ensure that the Carole Robertson Center for Learning has an everlasting impact on the children, youth, and families across Chicago

Benefits of joining the Learning Leaders Circle:

  • Invitation for a personal tour of one of the Center’s flagship sites
  • Acknowledgement on the Center’s website and in our Annual Report

WAYS TO MAKE A PLANNED GIFT

Bequests and Beneficiary Designations

Donors are encouraged to make bequests to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning under their wills, and to name the Carole Robertson Center as the beneficiary under trusts, Donor Advised Fund accounts, life insurance policies, commercial annuities, and retirement plans.

Charitable Remainder Trusts

The Carole Robertson Center will accept designation as a remainder beneficiary of charitable remainder trusts.

Charitable Lead Trusts

The Carole Robertson Center will accept designation as an income beneficiary of charitable lead trusts.

The Carole Robertson Center recommends that donors consult with us during the donor’s lifetime to confirm the term of the planned bequest. Acceptance should depend on the type of assets and any restrictions affecting the assets or the use of their proceeds.

When you write or review your will, ask your attorney or advisor to include such words as these:

“I give $____ or ____% of my will or trust to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning (Tax ID #36-3151279) for its charitable purposes as designated by the Board of Directors.”
