Adams Street Partners Recognized as Carole Robertson Center’s 2022 Corporate Partner of the Year

Every year, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning celebrates a corporate partner that has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to uplifting children, families, and communities. This year, we’re proud to present the 2022 Corporate Partner of the Year award to Adams Street Partners. The award will be presented during our 2022 Annual Celebration on the evening of May 11 at Venue West, 221 N Paulina Street in Chicago.

Adams Street is a firm that has emphasized service and responsible corporate citizenship since it was founded 50 years ago.  The investment firm, headquartered in Chicago, believes that supporting the communities in which it operates is good business and the right thing to do.

Charitable contributions from the firm have a strong focus on underserved communities to address poverty, youth, and education. Adams Street is 100% employee-owned, and donations are directed to organizations in which the firm’s employees have committed their time and money. Adams Street’s relationship with the Carole Robertson Center for Learning was initiated by Megan Schroeder, a Principal on the Marketing Team, who now sits on the Carole Robertson Center’s Development Committee.

More than 10 years ago, Megan volunteered at the Center while at a previous employer. “You could feel the positivity at the Center,” she recalled. “The children were happy and engaged. I was impressed by the dedication and attentiveness of the teachers and staff. That day left a lasting impression. At times, we underestimate the impact we as individuals can make. I encourage others to involve coworkers and companies to participate in volunteering initiatives or contribute to organizations that are meaningful to you. You might be surprised at how many people do want to get involved, given the opportunity. I’m grateful to be part of a generous organization that values and supports their employees’ charitable giving efforts.”

Since 2015, Adams Street’s relationship with the Carole Robertson Center has flourished and the firm has contributed to various initiatives, including individual employee contributions and firm matching programs, back-to-school and winter coat drives, holiday gift giving campaigns, and annual celebration sponsorships.

“Adams Street Partners is honored to be awarded the 2022 Corporate Partner of the Year and we are proud to continue to support the important work of the Carole Robertson Center for Learning.”
