Thank you for another successful E3 Gala!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our 2023 Annual E3 Gala an incredible success! Your support and enthusiasm made the night truly unforgettable. Our E3 Gala was a tremendous success. We celebrated the work we do everyday to educate, enrich, and empower the young people we serve, introduced many new people to our work, and inspired them to support the mission. Together, we welcomed 280 guests and raised $269,000 in gross revenue, surpassing our goal of $250,000 and 250 guests.

We had the honor of welcoming Dianne Robertson Braddock, her daughter and nephew. We received an inspiring keynote from Shermann “Dilla” Thomas on the power of relationships among youth in our communities and the crucial role longstanding community centers play in fostering those relationships. We also saw the return of Jacoby Cochran, from City Cast Chicago, as our master of ceremonies.

2021 Annual Celebration

About This Event

In May of 2021, our closest friends and funders joined us for “Recess,” the Carole Robertson Center for Learning’s first-ever virtual Annual Celebration! This event celebrated and underscored the importance of play and joy during a child’s development. The celebration included inspiring speeches, moving videos, an introduction from The Honorable Lori E. Lightfoot and a keynote address from LaTanya McDade, Chief Education Officer of Chicago Public Schools.
