On May 11, 2022, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning came together to celebrate the Workforce Behind the Workforce: our dedicated team of early childhood educators, youth development mentors, family support specialists, home visitors, and the many other staff members who provide much-needed care and support services to our children and families. Rooted in our commitment to working by, for, and with the community, our 2022 Annual Celebration centered the workforce that has been the heartbeat of our communities and our mission throughout the difficult course of the pandemic.

During the 2022 Annual Celebration we shared several videos spotlighting the passion and commitment of our amazing workforce. Check out these inspiring highlights from our biggest celebration of the year!

2021 Annual Celebration

About This Event

In May of 2021, our closest friends and funders joined us for “Recess,” the Carole Robertson Center for Learning’s first-ever virtual Annual Celebration! This event celebrated and underscored the importance of play and joy during a child’s development. The celebration included inspiring speeches, moving videos, an introduction from The Honorable Lori E. Lightfoot and a keynote address from LaTanya McDade, Chief Education Officer of Chicago Public Schools.

Since 1976, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning has been dedicated to educating, enriching, and empowering children and families through comprehensive child and family development programs.
